This piece quickly invites you into its quirky journey reminiscent of Candyland and/or Shoots & Ladders with its sense of both bouyant joy and grounding. Then all the layers, texture, and details make it hard to look away. This piece features fabric from a torn reusable tote, fluorescent light cover pieces, tiles, plastic shamrock earrings, etc.
“Oh, the Places You’ll Grow” is actually the remake of a piece called “On the Road to Find Out” that my partner could not let us part with.. sometimes, it’s just as important to keep a creation for yourself as it is to put it out into the world.
