This is my love letter to the walls I simply cannot walk past without stopping.
Inspired by urban streetscapes, this mixed media triptych transforms the kind of weathered wall that would stop me in my tracks, into a landscape all its own. The three 36” x 24” panels function individually yet continue visually into one another creating the experience of walking past a city wall where decay, repair, graffiti, signage, history continually overwrite what came before.
Created with collage which was then deconstructed, overlayed with resin, and carved with a Dremel. The vintage marquee letters are the final layer on top.
